FAQs

What is Akita Finance?

Akita Finance is a leveraged-yield farming protocol built on the Binance Smart Chain. It allows yield farmers to earn higher return by opening leveraged positions.

What is yield farming?

Yield farming is an innovative DeFi concept where users stake or lend their crypto assets in order to receive returns.

Where does my yield come from?

That’s a great question! In fact, you should always try to understand where the yield comes from in each DeFi project.

In Akita Finance, the source of your yield will depend on how you participate in the protocol:

As a lender, your yield comes from:

  • Interest paid by borrowers to open leveraged yield farming positions (Interest rate is based on pool utilization).

  • Incentive rewards paid in AKITA.

As a yield farmer, your yield comes from:

  • Underlying trading fee of the pool - i.e. trading fee of the PancakeSwap pool.

  • Incentive rewards of the pool, if applicable - i.e. Cake token.

  • Incentive rewards paid in AKITA (only if you have a leveraged position).

How do I use Akita Finance?

You can participate in Akita Finance in four ways:

  • Lender: Earn income on your base assets by depositing them into our vaults. These assets will then be offered to yield farmers for leveraging up their positions.

  • Farmer: As a farmer, you can earn a higher yield by opening a leveraged position on Akita Finance. Of course, this comes with bigger risks : liquidation, impermanent loss, etc.

  • Bounty hunter: Calling a contract to claim pending rewards and reinvesting them back into the pool, receiving part of the reward in return.

  • Liquidator: Monitoring the pool for underwater positions and liquidating them when they become too risky.

Is it safe to use Akita Finance?

All the contracts deployed are owned by the Time Lock contract. Thus, any changes made by developers will have a 24 hour lag before becoming effective. That means users will have ample time to withdraw their funds and exit safely in the case of any malicious attempt. In addition, we're in the process of arranging a professional audit for our code.

What is AKITA token?

AKITA token is a governance token of the Akita Finance platform. It will also capture the economic benefits of the protocol. There will be a maximum of 21 million AKITA tokens.

How do I earn AKITA token?

Where can I buy AKITA token?

You can buy AKITA from the PancakeSwap AKITA-BUSD pool here:

We are also working on listing AKITA on more CEX and DEX exchanges

Why are some of my staking rewards locked?

75% of the staking rewards are locked to ease early selling pressure and maintain steady liquidity within the protocol. They will unlock approximately 30 days after the end of the reward period, and then be released linearly across one week within blocks 6499649->6699649. The locked rewards do not compound.

We are a fair launch project. There was no investor, presale, or pre-mine. The only way to earn AKITA is to participate on our platform. To learn more about ways to earn AKITA, please visit our tokenomics page:
